I have lost numerous friends, and clients, to the wasting disease of addictions. Your poem, although filled with sadness at what might have been, also rejoices in what was.
It also helps fight against the tendency we have to forget that people living with a substance use disorder are just that, people, with histories and loves. Thank you.
